What is Junction temperature?

Junction temperature is the temperature at the point where an individual diode connects to its base. Maintaining a low junction temperature increases output and slows LED lumen depreciation. Junction temperature is a key metric for evaluating an LED product’s quality and ability to deliver long life. The three things affecting junction temperature are: drive current, thermal path, and ambient temperature. In general, the higher the drive current, the greater the heat generated at the die. Heat must be moved aw...

What does lifetime 50,000 hours mean?

Useful life has been defined as the number of hours an LED device can operate until it emits only a certain percentage of its original lumen output. For general illumination applications, vision research suggests that 70 percent of original lumen output is the level where end users begin to notice a drop in light levels. This metric is indicated as L70. The Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) published LM-80-08, IES Approved Method for Measuring Lumen Maintenance of LED Light Sources. Our LED ...

Do LEDs have a wire filament?

No, LEDs operate using entirely different components. LEDs are diodes - they only allow power to move in one direction. The anode (+) is where the current comes in and the cathode (-) is where the current goes out, much like the positive and negative terminals of a battery. Incandescent bulbs project light in every direction (omni-directional) as opposed to LED lights which project light in specified directions (such as 20, 50 and 120 degrees) due to their package design and layout.

Why do LEDs use such little power?

LEDs do not use a filament where a conductor is heated and light is created. Filament based lighting consumes more power than the light produced, most of that power is converted into heat. LEDs produce very little amounts of heat and do not use filaments making them far more efficient in consumption and output.

Do LEDs produce heat?

LEDs produce very little amounts of heat. The heat noticed in some instances is due to on board components and other factors of the circuit. In comparison to incandescent, LEDs produce a fraction of the heat. If LEDs are hot to the touch, they are being overpowered due to improper circuitry.

Do LED lights have a warranty?

Yes, our LED lights are warranted by the manufacturer for a period of five year, but they can last a lifetime!

Are LED lights affected by being switched on and off repeate

No, LED lights are not affected by repeated on/off switching unlike incandescent, fluorescent and especially CFL's.

Why COB LED lights will be popular on LED market in future?

Integrated package is called multiple chip package. The chip quantity is based on the power. It can be integrated to pack as 1W, 2W, 3W, etc big power led light source. And then, use high refractive index material to pack by the optical design. Its special package theory makes it with many advantages. For example: 1. As the R&D of big power chip in our country is week, adopting integrated package is a short-cut. It is more compliant with our country.2. The chips of LED can be des...

Why led tube will replace the traditional tube ?

What is the advantage of Led light? How I can save energy? And how can I use Led light in my house? So should i make large investment on led work lighting for my home? Led is abreviation of words "Light Emitting Diode". This is the place where You start to think so how the smaller Led light bulbs be better than my one solid 60W incandescent bulb, that I have used and replaced for years now. 1. Low energy consumption is one of the better advantages of Led light than Incandescent and Halogen l...

LED Panel Light will be popular in 2014

With the request of energy saving of every country , LED lights will be more and more popular all over the word . LED Panel Lights specially be liked by people for its good energy-saving advantage .
